Argonaut raised multiple transactions for Sino Gas & Energy Holdings Limited, an Australian energy company based in Beijing with assets in China’s natural gas-producing basins. Argonaut has assisted Sino Gas & Energy Holdings Limited to secure a US$50 million debt facility with Macquarie Bank Limited in 2014, to fund its development share of the PSCs and for overall production costs. Previously, Argonaut has been successful in the Placement of A$53 million and a $10 million Placement for Sino Gas & Energy Holdings Limited in 2013. In 2012, Argonaut also acted as Advisor to Sino Gas & Energy Holdings Limited for the successful US$100 million partnership through strategic investment of MIE Holdings Corporation to develop the Sanjiaobei and Linxing Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) in Shanxi Province, China.
Sino Gas & Energy Holdings Limited also owns a sharing interest in the Sanjiaobei and Linxing Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) with China United Coal Bed Methane Corp. and China National Petroleum Corp. In 2012, Sino Gas entered into a strategic partnership with MIE Holdings Corporation through Asia Gas & Energy Ltd, a subsidiary of MIE Holdings Corporation, an independent upstream oil and gas exploration, development and sales company in China.
In 2016, China New Energy Mining Limited acquired 51% of Sino Gas & Energy Holdings Limited for $220 million from Asia Gas & Energy Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of MIE Holdings Corporation. Asia Gas & Energy Ltd also turned over its interests in the Sanjiaobei and Linxing Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) as a partner in the joint venture between Sino Gas & Energy Holdings Limited and MIE Holdings Corporation. China New Energy Mining Limited is an ethanol production company with integrated services, including design engineering, equipment manufacturing and installation of all ethanol production systems. Its main market is the ethanol fuel and alcoholic beverage industries in China.
