Key News Overnight:
Spot gold jumped 1.1% to US$1,886/oz, having hit a one-month high of US$1,896/oz earlier in the session. U.S. gold futures were up 2.1% at US$1,898/oz.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.5 %, to 30,303 and the S&P 500 gained 0.6%, to 3,722. The Nasdaq Composite, which closed at a record high for a third-straight day, added 107 points, or 0.8%, to 12,765.
