Spot gold was little changed at US$1,865/oz. gold futures rose 0.2% to US$1,869/oz.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 45 points, or 0.2%, to end at 30,155, the S&P 500 gained 7 points, or 0.2%, to 3,701, just short of a new record high, and the Nasdaq Composite added 63 points, or 0.5%, to 12,659.
